Tips on how to change from chord to chord on guitar?

I've wanted to learn guitar for ages now and I started having lessons but I gave up after just a few weeks because I just found it so difficult! I'm an impatient person but I just find it so hard to switch from chord to chord. When I try there's always a long pause while I get my fingers on the right strings. Any tips??

You have to have the chord hand positions memorized in your muscles. Once you have the chords embedded into you muscle memory, then it's easy and relaxed to hangs chords. I'd suggest just finding a song that you like and memorizing the chords for that song and playing the chords over and over again.

Also try mastering the right hand strumming pattern first. If you try to concentrate on both hands at once then it's gonna be harder to change chords. But if you can learn the right hand strumming pattern, then you can focus more on changing chords with your left hand.

Everyone goes through this. And the first few months is when most are going to quit. It's kind of like the first few football practices back in high school. The coach would work everyone really hard to weed out the quitters. That's exactly what the first 3 to 6 months of guitar playing does, it weeds out the quitters. There is only one tip that matters. If you really want to play then you have to practice every day and just stick with it for a few months. After that it gets easier and more fun. Guitar isn't for everyone, just know that everyone does go through what you are going through. Whether or not it is worth going through this frustration is for you to decide.

It just comes with practice. Sorry but patience is very necessary!
