Organization tips to share?
Anyone have some tips they're willing to share about organizing the "junk drawers" of your house? I got a little box for business cards, but now I need to find a way to organize, for example, instructions for my kitchen electronics, etc.

I don't keep paper in my junk drawer. I file and unused office paper, stationery, etc. in a folder which can hang in a file cabinet, or lay in a horizontal paper sorter, or be stored in a binder. Exception is little sticky note pads which are in my junk drawer. Get yourself a little sorter, expandable if you can for little things.
Thin OUT your junk drawer if needed, and regularly, so you can find what is in it. If you must have several, make sure each drawer serves a different purpose...a junk drawer in a kitchen might look different than a junk drawer in an office or workbench. And NEVER just toss something in there because you don't know what else to do with it.
Instructions for items might be able to throw away, if you know how the machine works, or keep it with the item so you can refer to it when you are using it. If it is a warranty, file it with your money and household records...

Everyone has a junk drawer, they are really essential - I mean, where else would the rubber bands, glue, lighters, candle snuggies and rulers live? There are many ways to organize it, you just need to find one that works for you.
They sell all sorts of drawer organizers at Walmart, Target or Staple, places like that. Or you can save a bunch of small boxes and use those. Even zip lock bags will work. Then group like with like - all rubber bands in one box, lighters in another, etc.
As for kitchen instruction sheets, it's best if you dedicate a drawer to them. Or, if you have a file cabinet, keep them all in a file. I label mine 'Product Info' and all the instructions and warranties go in there. About once a year or so, go through this file to make sure you still own the product.
Here's a great hint:
You know all those cords? The millions of cords that come with every piece of technology? Ear plugs, charger cords, connection cords... Use zip lock bags to organize them. Put each cord into its own bag and LABEL it. Then throw them all into a 'technology' drawer. This way they won't constantly get tangled up and you'll know where to find them when you need them. Poke a small hole into each bag to keep it from inflating and taking up too much room.
