It's called Andropause and mid 50's is when it really kicks in. Testosterone declines 10% every decade after age 30 (1% per year). By age 60 men notice a huge drop and have all sorts of symptoms. They are more at risk then for heart attacks and sexual dysfunction, as well as osteoporosis. Male doctors joke and call it cranky old man syndrome. Some men start as early as 40 or as late as 60 before noticing symptoms of fatigue and irritability among other things. 1 in every 200 men under the age of 60 and about 1 in every 10 men over 60 have low testosterone. Testim is a natural testosterone cream that doctors can prescribe and as long as you don't have prostate cancer, it's safe to take. It does not cause cancer, but will make it worse if you have it.

The male equivalent is called andropause. There is some debate as to whether this actually exists or not. But here is a description:
Andropause, just like menopause, is characterized by a drop in hormone levels. The bodily changes, as a result of reduced hormones, occur very gradually in men and may be accompanied by adverse changes in attitudes and moods, ongoing fatigue, a loss of vitality, and decreased sex drive. Added to this, there is usually a decline in physical agility and ability. What's more, medical studies show that this decline in testosterone can actually contribute to the risks for other health problems like heart disease and weak bones.

Pretty much what C'mon Cliffy said.
Some get hormone depreciation/imbalance and start acting all crazy and taking on female form. No, seriously. They start getting mood swings, OCD, and looking like out-of-shape females, as far as their bodies go.
This is what I've heard on various health shows anyway. Not sure if it's true.

Menopause is when a female's eggs run out and they stop their period along with some other physical changes. Since men don't have periods they don't get menopause.
But i think you're woundering if men get moody. like old guys get cranky in the way women do. i don't think thats a hormone thing. I think thats more of a "i'm tired of life and my pains now i'm just gunna ***** about it!!" sort of thing
