Could I have had a low blood sugar attack?
Something very strange just happened to me at the store. All of a sudden I felt very irritated and confused, weak and light headed, I started to shake and all the noises around me were loud. I felt like I was goin to pass out. When I moved I felt diZzy. My hands were shaking and it felt like thiga were turning black. Soon as I checked out I grabbed a candy bar and took a bite. I wasn't sure if I was having a panic attack or sugar attack. I don't have diabetes. I am on Paxil. Been weaning off it for a month.

It's hard to say but your symptoms could be related to Hypoglycemia (Low blood sugar) and the fact that you ate a candy bar and felt better afterwards. Had you been exercising, Had it been awhile since you had eaten? or had you recently eaten anything containing a high about of simple carbohydrates? (Not counting the candy bar) Simple carbs can cause your blood sugar to spike and then fall rapidly leading to low blood sugar like symptoms. I should also note that Paxil has been shown to cause issues with blood sugar in some people. Just keep an eye out and make a note of what you've eaten in case happens again and if it does I would discuss it with your physician

Your last statement is your answer!! No, that wasn't a low blood sugar attack, it was one of the effects of coming down from some drug or another, in this case Paxil.
Most people who have HYPOglycemia are on insulin and didn't eat enough food or took too much insulin for the food they did eat!
Other causes of dizzies and shakiness is blood pressure either spiking or falling suddenly!
