For Shooters, why does the 360 use RT but the PS3 use R1?
I notice when I alternate between my 360 and Ps3, for shooting games, the default for the 360 is always the Trigger buttons, but for Ps3 the default is always R1 and L1. Why do developers design it like that?

The 360 is already a trigger so you're pulling the trigger so to say and on the PS3 the R1 has been the to shoot button since the PS1
