What counts as a "traumatic event"?
Like, my dad beat my *** a few times and once I was sore all of the next day. But I'm not sure whether that counts as traumatic or not.... And there were other times when we'd be driving and all of a sudden stop and I get punched hella times. (Around 13-14) As well as full beer cans being thrown, and stuff like that. Just wondering.
It's stopped for a while, the last time anything really major happened was almost 2 years ago

What you are describing is clearly abuse and, yes definitely goes under traumatic event! Please talk with someone right away about his behavior. Do not continue taking this behavior from your father. I urge you to talk with someone.

In order for it to be classified as "traumatic", it must cause you severe emotional distress. Has it caused you to feel negative emotions and remember negative memories? Has it made you feel anything such as sad, upset, angry, overwhelmed, or depressed multiple times? If so, I'd classify it as a traumatic experience given what you said. It just depends on how you feel.
