If I get a store credit card, but don't use it, will it affect my credit score?
I have a Kay Jewelers card but I rarely shop there. I don't know if I should just hold on to it or cancel it. I do not owe any money on it or anything like that. In fact, I've never used it before.
I do have a credit card with my regular bank that I've had for many years.

If your other card is a major credit card, you should cancel the the Kay card if you are no longer using it. Just make sure you get a confirmation that the card is closed.

Yes. Having a credit card affects your credit score, because the credit is "available" to you.
Ironically, using it does not always affect your credit score.

Just leave it open since its probably establishing your credit history as your oldest account.
If not your oldest account, close the darn thing.
