long distance relationship question?

So I went on a first date with a girl (we're both freshman in college at a school in Chicago) and we connected really well and im pretty sure she really likes me too. Only problem is she plans on transferring to Ohio State (she's from Columbus) after this year. We've got a month left of school then she'll be permanently 6 hours away. So is it worth it to try and start a relationship? I feel like if i dont i'll regret it and it'll kill me on the inside all summer. The other option is to try a relationship in the last 5 weeks of school and see where we stand when the years over but im nervous i could get overly attached in that time period.

Ive never had a relationship longer than a month in high school so pretty much anything of this regard is uncharted waters for me. Any advice from people with experience?

You will probably regret not continuing to hang out with her. Go for it, have fun with one another and enjoy one another's company! You're young.

You are complaining because you will be ONLY 6 hours away?

My boyfriend is in Asia and I am in South America. That's really a LDR. Jeez.
