If an artificial uterus was created?

And one could relatively easily gain access and transport their embryo into it,

Would there be a need for abortion, if one could just as easily transfer the fetus into a machine and be done with it?

Is there something wrong with having a child of a womans own genetic material live without her consent? (even though she doesn't have to carry to term)

Or is there something wrong with using an artificial womb? (that could make a perfectly healthy human)

What is your view?

Update:

MTR, that's probably true, I doubt pro-lifers would put money where there mouth or, or foster a child.

As for what happens to them after? The same way abandoned babies are treated at fire stations.

As for the running of the machines, the state already pays for welfare to a pregnant woman, why not for the running or artificial wombs?

I asked something similar to this posed to female pro-lifers.

If you could save the abortion scheduled fetus by adopting it through a uterus transplant would you?

Most said no...most pro-lifers are just anti-abortion...not so much pro-life.

The problem with your scenario is ironic...who's tax dollars are going to go towards their upbringing?

    Who will raise them?

Well personally I would say it would be a much better alternative to abortion. Perhaps there is people who would feel uncomfortable with the idea of a fetus growing outside of a woman's body (I mean we were created to grow that way) and of course there would be people who would be uncomfortable with their child being born without their knowledge, I can understand both sides, but I feel strongly that a life is a life and if there was an alternative to abortion (besides obviously keeping the baby) then I would support it.

That is a very highly advanced useful scientific thought material
