.. change of plans, no puppy.. adult dog?

I was planning on adopting a puppy from our local shelter, but someone had already adopted her.

While there I saw that there was an older dog, so I got her out and played with her.

I really enjoyed her, and she fit the bill, so we are adopting her instead. I know we have everything needed, and she is already scheduled to be spayed.

The only problem is.. her name right now is Twiggy. I will attach a pic of her below..

What are some good name options?

Here is the list I have now:

Olive, Aspen, and Juniper. (I really like the whole plant and flower theme)

Thanks!

I like the name Twiggy. But if you want to go with the flower/plant theme, what about Ivy?

If she's an older dog, it wouldnt be fair to rename her. It would totally confuse her, as she'd have grown up with Twiggy! But please don't make this a reason not to adopt her, a name's just a name, its the actual dog that matters.

She's adorable. Congratulations! I like the name Olive (one of my kitties names).

It's tough to rename an older animal. She doesn't need the confusion. I did change a dogs name, but made it very similar to the original name. Something like Ziggy, Miss Piggy, Figgy, Oliviggy. You can find one. Good luck!
