Other than cool-season crops you should have no problem planting any time between now and late July. Start planting cool-season crops in September or October. As far south as you are you can grow something year-round. You may have a brief time during which the heat can cause problems but, even then, you can do well with peppers, cow peas, eggplant and okra. If you do find you have problems with some of the warm season crops you may want to try them in early fall, as well. I plant a few lima beans, pinto beans and garbanzo beans as fall crops here in NW Florida; most years they do better than my spring crops of those, due to the heat of summer. I hear sweet potatoes do well in your general area. Give some a try.
You can plant fall crops of turnips, rutabagas, chard, beets, mustard greens, cabbage, lettuce, radish, kale, parsnips, kohlrabi, garden peas (sweet, snap and soup varieties) and so many others.
Seeds are fairly cheap so try a little of everything! I recommend these sites for seeds:

They have always provided excellent seeds and customer service to me.
Good luck and enjoy!

You can start planting any time you are ready. Plant most anything except leafy vegetables like lettuce Read up on the vegetables you like to see what their needs are.

Now - you should be planting tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplants now for summer harvest. If you have the space you should also be planting squash - yellow and zucchini.
Good luck
