This may sound dumb but it happens a lot in movies so I am wondering can angels become human?
Is this supported by the abrahamic books or is this just a movie theme to attract a bigger audience.
From what i know of the abrahamic faiths like in the tanakh angels wud be the messengers, made of fire, have a certain position and task and immortal. So does it say in any of the books that angels can become human maybe i skipped that part
I just want to know if it is supported by scripture. Also I am aware of the stories where god appears with angels at his side the story of sodom and gomorah. But they were not what u wud call humans.
The law of entropy yea well that does not make sense. The law has it that energy becomes more unusable over time, heat energy cannot be transferred. Unless you explain how the law is being broken then i do not understand how it is being broken.
@Donald I do not understand how nephilum have anything to do with my question. Also that verse also says they were legends and great men which indicates a different translation that the sons of god means it is talking about humans not angels.

No, Angels are celestial beings that were created separate from us. We are the only creatures that we created in God's image. Lucifer( Satan),Gabriel, Michael (etc) do not look like us and neither do the others (but those are the only three that received names) Their appearance is mentioned in Isaiah 6.2. There are points where "The Angel of God" appeared both in the New Testament and the Old Testament. While there is some speculation that this was Gabriel, it is more likely that this was actually God/Jesus appearing to people, since God can and did appear in a human form. For the most part, Angels are not even seen in the Bible and are not described as having human features. While God could certainly 'turn' an angel into a human, it did not occur in the Bible. And unfortunately, we don't turn into angels (I thought that as a kid because I wanted wings!). Hope this helps! :)

They don't *become* human, but they can and do appear in human *form*, there is a huge difference..
I have never had the pleasure of, or that I know of , to have meet or seen one in this form, but my sister N law has.. and a few other people I know have also...
Yes, angels appeared MANY times in human form in the Bible, both in the OT and NT.. It was an angel that appeared to Mary the mother of Jesus...
Child of God - X atheist
*edit*, I forgot... but it does appear in Genesis that at one time they did, it is believed by some that it was angels , fallen angels that the sons of Adam and Eve found their wives... but some, believe that they were simply very simple humans , ones that did not have the *special* spiritual core that Adam and Eve had, or something to that effect...

The Bible says it HAS happened...as with the two angels who warned Lot to leave the city...
And it happened when disobedient angels came down and took on human bodies to have relations with women...resulting in the NEPHILIM....The Giants of old...who were destroyed in the flood of NOAH'S DAY.
Good angels MAY still be permitted....the Bible does not say...and the disobedient angels have all become demons and are confined to the earth...
(Revelation 12:12) On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
Satan ...AND...his angels/demons...

Angels are messengers and spirits. They are not human, cannot become human and why would they even want to become human and experience all the pain and sorrow that comes with that?

It is. The Bible tells us to be kind to strangers, as many have entertained an angel without knowing.

Angels do not have the Father's nature!!
Through Jesus Christ, we do!
So, no; angels cannot become men (adamos) because they have not been born of Adam.
Hebrews 1:1-9
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who ... Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name [nature] than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Having said that, angels can take on the form of men. Gabriel is plainly called 'the man, Gabriel' in the book of Daniel. Angels from God came to Lot as men; Angels came to Abraham as men and ate with them; in Revelation, the angel that looked like the son of god was one of the Old Testament prophets!!; The measure of a man are the measurements of angels (Rev 21:17) So, at first blush, the lines may seem blurred as to whom these 'messengers' can be. Yet, I believe the clarity comes when you understand them and us according to the natures within. Now WE are the sons of God - because we have the nature of Jesus Christ transplanted as our own nature when we were reconciled to God and buried the dead old man of Adam in the waters of baptism. Eventually we will grow up and mature and we will judge the angels in heaven for their deeds done while ministering to us who are being saved.
Lastly, angels are members of the City of the Living God wherein the completed glorious church resides.
Heb 12:22-23
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and TO AN INNUMERABLE COMPANY OF ANGELS, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Yes. A perfect example is Melchizedek in the Old testament and Abraham gave tithes to him.

They are no angles, devils, heaven or hell. Just the dirt that you will lie in when your gone. Sorry if that's a bummer.

Yes, they can appear as humans and do.
