If the ghost busters were real, how much could someone earn annually?
Base pay
Medical insurance
Benifits
I would imagine for a qualified person you could earn allot considering the jobs they take on and the history of saving New York and its residents. But in the movie and game, they talk is if they are struggling to stay in business. I am asking as a fun business thought experiment.

As long as there's a steady paycheck in it, I'll believe anything you want.

NO medical or benefits. They would be self employed, and have to buy their own 'benefits'.
Earnings would depend on how much business they could convince people to PAY for. In the movie, no one believed they until AFTER they saved NY. At that point, they didn't have a contract for payment, and the 'powers that be' preferred a worthless 'award' to cash.

UH, if ghosts suddenly appeared and started to harass people in New York and the "Ghost-busters" were the ONLY one with the technology to catch them?
Millions, upon millions.......the franchise/training rights alone would be worth millions of dollars a month - BUT, terrified New Yorkers would have rioted and stolen the technology from them long before they saw a profit.
Actually, New York itself would be completely abandoned as well.......We're talkin; the dead coming back to life here, human sacrifice! Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria! You really think anyone's going to calculate their health insurance payments?

Well, it depends because if you believe in ghosts/paranormal activity you know that it would be considered a dangerous job. In so I would think you could make a lot of money.

If I could be a Ghostbuster, I'd do it for free.
The business itself would surely be highly profitable though, as they obviously weren't struggling for work.
