I am a professional filmmaker and writer who has had a number of projects in release and film festivals. I have extensive experience in the world of indie filmmaking and have made all the mistakes and as many right moves.

  • Does anybody actually believe that Kendall & Kylie Jenner actually wrote a novel?

Kendall even went on record as saying she 'wasn't a big reader' and now they supposedly authored a sci-fi novel called "Rebels: City of Indra". Are teen girls really gullible enough to believe that BS?

I hope the ghost writer gets a reasonable percentage.

  • Does anyone else think that the new movie "Million Dollar Arm" will fail spectacularly? (at least in America)?

America is in a job crisis and millions of call center and manufacturing jobs are going to India & China. I dunno if people will want to see a film about giving away team slots (of America's greatest past-time) to Indian Nationals.

I'm not racist, I just think Hollywood has failed to monitor the mood of the country.

  • Is it really effective to send white American teenagers to build houses in Mexico?

I get a lot of requests for funds to send white wealthy teenage girls + boys to Mexico to 'build houses'.

This seems silly to me to spend thousands sending, housing and protecting teenagers to 'build houses' when it would take MONTHS just to get them to understand which end of the hammer to use.

Sure it's a great experience for the teens but does it really help impoverished Mexicans? Isn't it more cost-effective to just give Mexicans the money to build their OWN HOUSES? The plane ticket alone is enough to hire a Mexican tradesman for a month!

Not to mention housing 16 year old boys and girls together, 1000's of miles from their parents. is a recipe for trouble.

  • If there actually was a RAPTURE what would life be like in Heaven (for those that were invited)?

Most people would still like to have sex, eat pizza and watch Netflix....will all that stuff be up there?.......

  • When did the Duck Dynasty cast sell out?

I recently caught some early episodes of Duck Commander that represented them for what they ACTUALLY are, college educated businessmen. With Willie as the strong CEO with MANY employees, Jep as a talented cameraman and editor who assembled the early shows. Jase who DESIGNED most of the duck calls and Si who often led the communion at a local church, in a town where this family was treated like ROYALTY even before the show was a hit.

Now in "Duck Dynasty" they are portrayed as buffoons. They seem to be the ONLY employees of the company though the company sells over 60,000 duck calls a year! Jep, Si, Godwin and Martin are portrayed as mindless loafers that are lucky to remember to breathe out after they breathe in.

I know audiences LOVE the idea of braindead millionaire rednecks but this reality show is just a series of skits some Producer has thought up for them. They HAVE money why are they debasing themselves like this?

  • How can I debunk The Rapture?

Recently a good friend of mine has been going on and ON about the imminent RAPTURE on FB and that we must all embrace Jesus or die in hellfire (now in a matter of weeks).

I know this Rapture crap is BS. It is never mentioned ANYWHERE is ANY bible and was only brought up as a concept about 1870. The problem is 44% of Americans supposedly believe in it and my friend is calling himself a 'watchman' who has a spiritual duty to save me before it is too late. What can I say to save him from this cultist fantasy?

  • Is bad grammer, spelling and awkward sentence structure now cool?

I have a young friend on FB that always makes posts like this.

"It's 2014. Shts going to get really crazy in our lifetime. Believe Dat! We are liveing threw a new world. It's not good a0nor bad.. Just what it is"

Is this the way kids communicate these days, like they get more points for texting quickly than coherance? Is bad spelling their rebellious language like rock music was to parents in the Sixties?

Should I correct him or learn to write like him?

  • Yo Trekkies, was Lt. Uhura the fourth in command in the original Star Trek series?

I just read an online article about Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and how she wanted to quit the original series in the first season but Martin Luther King himself talked her out of it. He said she was a role model because she was 4th in command of the starship. But was she? It seems to me that it was Kirk, Spock, Scottie, Sulu, Bones and sometimes arbitrary 'extras' appointed to command but Uhura never got a shot at the command chair. Why would Bones have command status?? What is the official succession of command in the original series?

  • What scared you the most as a child?

I do not mean movies or books or anything that was DESIGNED to scare kids . That is too easy. What is the one, specific thing that scared you as a child?

Back when you were just 8-10 years old. I used to be terrified of Cemeteries as we always had to drive through one to get downtown. I could not understand how anyone could be vibrant, warm and alive one day than suddenly dead and buried and lying in the cold (Very cold in the winters where I grew up).

  • Do you care about global warming?

I can only do what I can do -- recycle, walk more, ride a bike to work. I am sick of these doom and gloom naysayers...what are they advocating. Revolution? Going back to be hunter/gatherers? Nobody is going to do ANYTHING about global warming if it effects feeding their families, and any solution suggested will cause a wide-spread depression.

  • How do they get humiliated people to agree to appear on reality TV shows?

I am talking about shows like "Restaurant Undercover" where hidden cameras spy on restaurant employees making fools of themselves then humiliated later by the host. They have to sign releases before their humiliation can be aired, so why would they want to embarrass themselves in front of millions of people? There was one chef on the show "Kitchen Nightmares" who was videotaped stealing booze, which he was arrested for. Why did HE sign a release? Are they offered a lot of cash? Is it that American love of being on TV? Why do they do it?

  • Is this the plot line of Jurassic Park 4, or just an internet myth?

I found this on a blog site..is it fact or fiction?

JURASSIC PARK 4, set in present day Isla Nublar, is now an actual theme park, as originally intended by John Hammond in the first film. It garners 10 million visitors per year and is completely safe – until it’s not. The park itself is described as very Sea World-esque and includes an area called the Isla Nublar Lagoon. That means underwater dino’s for the first time. No indication of what kind, but there’s concept art showing one of the aquatic dino’s, as part of a show, jumping out of the lagoon and eating a strung up great white shark like it was a fish for a dolphin at sea world.

As part of a show, you ask? That’s right, folks, this will feature “tamed” dino’s. In fact, our source indicated that the usually menacing Velociraptors (which will finally be muzzled, along with the T-Rex – until they’re not) will actually be used to help fight the threat, which begins in the form of a new dinosaur, not seen in any of the previous films (and not disclosed to us) shows to be much smarter than originally thought and is the main cause of havoc breaking out at the park.

So, to sum it all up, JURASSIC PARK 4 will take place back on Isla Nublar with a fully operational dinosaur theme park (I’m sure no expense was spared) that’s both prosperous and safe, until a new dinosaur figures out a way to wreak havoc, causing the use of the now tamed Velociraptors (and T-Rex? Unclear) as a means to fighting the threat.

  • Dio you still believe that 9-11 was a government conspiracy?

Do you still believe that hundred's (if not thousands) of Government specialists planned and executed the destruction of the twin towers in 2001 and that, 12 years later, NOT ONE has come forward to admit their involvement in it......Even if it was planned, how could they possibly have hoped to pull it off when so many things could go wrong.

If all they wanted was an excuse to attack Iraq why not just blow up a cruise ship or shoot an American Airliner down over their airspace...not stage a parlour trick in front of 8 million people..

  • Why do new indie filmmakers (mostly) make such dreary films?

Sure, they have no money. They can't afford car chases and CGI - but most of the features I have seen are usually about some slacker, his alcoholic mother and his hospitalized, cancer ridden, father who has disowned the slacker.

There are endless scenes of arguments and monotone soliloquies. People looking balefully out a window to the strains of a discordant violin. Time lapse, flowering plants and extreme CU's of crows eating road kill. Half these films are music-video montage filler and the other half is one long locked off SHOT of some non-actor doing a crying jag. I know they are trying to win awards but shouldn't someone tell them they need to ENTERTAIN people if they ever want to see a return on their investment?

OMG, the last one I saw was about a soldier long returned from Iraq and dealing with post traumatic stress disorder and weight gain. In the end he messily shoots himself because his 18 year old psychiatrist got stuck in traffic with his pills.

How about a comedy? Something sexy with attractive, talented actors working with clever dialogue written by real writers Why go through all the pain and expense of making a movie no-one wants to see?
