According to christians, pagans are suppose to tolerate their religious harrasment, aggression and?

general ignorance of pagan religions gracefully and in silence. But they do not have to tolerate us in silence or otherwise.

Do christians think we should be better than they are? More gracious, peaceful and wiser? Should that be our goal as pagans??? Better than christians?

Most Christians don't even know that most of their culture is pagan...I wouldn't even let it bother me..The world is totally twisted..For a Christian to know about the pagan culture would mean that they care enough to study the word carefully instead of take someones word for it and there aren't many of those..Christians can overlook the part about being judgement and carry on the devils token of being prideful when they judge and don't even study the true history of their religion because of tradition and pure laziness...I am a Christian and sometimes I am frustrated by the cultural Christians who see things one way and with no room for interpretation...and the bible says the word is available for reinterpretation for the fact that man has tampered with it. So I wouldn't even let it bother me...Ignorance lies within Christians and everyone else..It's more about the person than it is anything..

Source(s): Jake said something about being gay etc etc and the Roman Catholic Church...Well we know the Popes love to play with little boys sexually...Let's stop the judging and get to the root of the issues...Good question though...

Why do you ask the same questions over and over again, albeit worded differently each time?

If you're having so much trouble with your neighbours, why don't you actually do something about it, rather than come here complaining about Christians...like MOVE? Surely moving would be a small burden compared to what you experience on a regular basis. If you don't want to move, then I suggest you put up with whatever it is you're receiving, since you don't really want to do anything about it, so you have something to complain about.

Honestly, every couple of weeks, you come here to complain and ask "Why do christians do this, or that? Is it part of their way?" when clearly you know that not ALL Christians are like this, just the fundamentalist garbage who live near you, who fluff their feathers every time you flinch.

You have the RIGHT to do what you want in peace and privacy, and they have no right to harass you about it. Period! Call the police...every day if you have to until something is done or MOVE! Stop using Yahoo! Answers as your personal soapbox to complain about your neighbours.

Speaking as an atheist, the majority of pagans I know are more gracious, peaceful and wise than most christians I know. They also tend to be kinder, friendlier and more fun loving than most christians I know. There are of course exceptions, but only a few that I can think of.

Well, I can't speak for all the other pagans, but I almost never get any harrassment from christians... but if it did happen, we are under no obligation to suck it up. My view is that setting someone straight is doing them a favor... and sometimes that needs to be done in a forceful way.

I know what you have been through where many who put down your questions don't understand this. Yes, many SO-CALLED Christians are as you described and expect you to grin and bear it. But there are other religions who treat Pagans this way as well and even some of our own do so to us. It is not the religion but the people are to blame. It is true that many who claim to be Christian seem to forget that in the NT of their very BIBLE shows their Christ to be kind and does not push his beliefs on others, nor does he put others down for their beliefs. Funny how they seem to forget that!

No, Ms Crone. We should be as good as we possibly can be, period. Goodness is not a competition, it is simply a way of life. As long as we DO that we will ALWAYS be the better for it. Consequently, we WILL be better behaved than MANY Christians, as a result. But being BETTER than someone else should NOT be our goal. OUR goal should be to be better than our former self, period.

OT... Ms Crone, you have been focusing all of your questions on the Christians again. I DO realize that they ARE directed at the radical fundamentalists among them and that you DO have some less radical Christians who ARE your friends, as well. However, the Fundies are winning by dominating your thoughts and actions with respect to them. In so doing you are allowing them to control your life rather than the other way around. You are allowing THEM to win and openly handing them their victory. How? By actually giving LOTS of thought to THEIR lifestyle, to THEIR philosophy, to THEIR way of life. And you are doing so at the expense of your OWN way of life. Why are YOU allowing THEM to dictate the topics of YOUR life? Think on that one for a while, Ms Crone.

Christianity is exclusive ....it claims that only those who believe in Christ will find salvation..... but it is not narrow-minded, intolerant or bigoted. People can be broad-minded or narrow-minded but not ideas. Ideas are true or false.

the Koran causes one to conclude that Islam consigns all infidels (non Muslims) to an eternal hell on the basis of the arbitrary decrees of Allah. What about jihad, the muslim concept of holy war?

Even religions which claim to accept other religions- usually don't - ALL OF THEM claim that their path is far superior to all other paths.

(BUT If a given religion isn't superior or unique in important ways, then of what value is it for a prospective convert?)

A LOT OF People claim all religions are the same and all religions lead to the same God….but...

All religions are not the same nor do they lead to the same God...... In Hinduism the world is an illusion....... in Christianity it is real......The Hindu Brahman is anything but the biblical Yahweh....... In Islam the incarnation is blasphemy.......in Christianity it is central, while Allah and Jehovah are literally worlds apart......Buddhism is founded upon the denial of personality......while Christianity is founded upon the assertion of God's personality- and on it goes.

Is Christianity alone fully true, and is Jesus Christ really the only way to God?

The creation parallels the nature of its Creator through its unity and diversity. So we might just expect the same for the Creator's approach to salvation.

There is only one true God, and there should be only one true way of salvation because the way of salvation must be consistent with the nature of the one true God,His grace, love, mercy, truth, etc.

"Logically, since all religions contradict each other, there are only two options open to us. Either they are all false, or there is only one true religion. If there is only one God, there will be only one religion."

The creation that God has made also parallels the nature of salvation. Like everything else in the world, salvation must be done correctly to be successful.

Consider some examples of how life works, or doesn't work: What happens if you're driving your car in reverse? Or stopping in the middle of a busy freeway? What happens if you let your dog drive your car? Or if you drive on the wrong side of the road-or drive drunk? What happens if you don't drive correctly is that you injure or kill yourself and others. Driving the wrong way sooner or later has consequences, even if you're only a bad driver.

When you build a house, what happens if you place the glass where wood should be and wood where the glass should be? What if you try to play tennis with a broken arm? Or use your hand as a racket? What happens is you will lose the game. Consider learning math or being in surgery. What if you try to learn math by reading comic books? What if you're scheduled for a routine appendectomy and the surgeon takes out your brain instead? In either case, you're brain dead .......our very lives may be at stake.

If everything in the world must be done correctly to be successful, and if our lives are literally filled with examples of the problems caused for us when we do things incorrectly, why should we conclude that salvation is any different?

Why should we conclude there won't be consequences for doing salvation wrong?

And if our lives are already at stake in worldly things, its also possible that our souls are at stake in spiritual things. But a life is only for a period of time; a soul is forever.

Then how much more vital is it that we be certain that salvation be done correctly if our very souls are at stake?

Only Jesus can and does promise a new life in a new body on an earthly existence know as paradise..... all other "religions" can only promise some vague spiritual existence in another dimension(which is false)......at death it is either Heaven or Hell....

Most religions have some good in them and may inspire one to live a better life, and even save some lives, but they lead to destruction at the end of that life. One must be discerning or perish. There is only one faith based upon a risen Savior and living God..... and that is Jesus Christ....

JOH 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

It's a good goal and shouldn't be at all difficult to accomplish. Being kinder and more loving than Christians is pretty easy.

When did I say that to you. I really am getting sick of these generalizations. Catholics DON'T TALK ABOUT YOU. Everyone always asks me about why I hate atheists or gays or pagans. In a Catholic Church, WE DON'T TALK ABOUT IT. I dont care what you do. I do t care at all. If you want to be pagan, be my guest. If you want to be gay or atheist be my guest. Stop asking me about what some Protestant once said to you. Not all Christians are the same.
