What should be my fifth Pokemon? (Black/White)?

If you want a ground type I would go for excadrill (may need to be caught as a drilbur), it's also quite overpowered once you get swords dance and is really useful in the last gym. However you could probably do with a dark type, especially as two of the elite four are weak to it(ghost and psychic) and it resists another type in the elite four (dark). So I would pick up a Scrafty (perhaps caught as scraggy on routes 1,4,18) or Krookodile (caught as sandile on route 4, the desert resort or relic castle), Krookodile will also have the ground type however wont help you against palpitoad, whereas Scrafty is pretty sound defensively so could probably defeat palpitoad. It can take a lot of hits too and acts as a good switch in if one of your other pokemon are in trouble. In terms of grass I would go for lilligant(can be caught as petilil in Pinwheel forest). It can be quite good with the Own tempo and petal dance combo.

Get a grass pokemon that can learn leech seed! I find them great for poisoning, paralysis, putting the enemy to sleep,,and for defeating ground & water pokemon if you have strong moves.

I used Liligant, but I used her just to poison and to stall the other team.
