it depends on what you're writing , give a little more details :)

umm,,, well we usually believe that brave people are the ones who don't fear or don't have something to fear about? but I guess bravery means having the courage to face your fears and break them apart ,
Have you seen the animation " Brave" ? it van be a good inspiration for you , well it says that destiny ain't what it is , it's us that makes it and we should be brave enough to be who we really are and write our very own book of destiny .
I want you to just think about that for a moment and then think about your own life , when have you been brave? and when not? if not , then why? what was the reason ? what was holding you back?
maybe you weren't brave enough to take a risk , you weren't brave enough to tell someone how you feel , you weren't brave enough to fight for your rights
hope I helped
just think more about it and try to match it to real life situations , I know you should discuss about the novel way , but well , novels are made by human mind and human mind is living in real life
P.S : English is my second language , so I'm not sure if all my sentences have the meaning I want them to , sorry because of that! I hope you understand what I meant :D
hope I helped :)

First of all, this book is misunderstood by Western readers. It's NOT about bravery! It's about ABUSE and RAPE and one of the dark sides of AFGHAN CULTURE.
Secondly, bravery is defined and shaped by religious, social and cultural beliefs. If you are not from Afghanistan, you will NEVER understand why certain actions are called "bravery" there but an ACT of violence in the WEST. For example, in Afghanistan it's BRAVE to beat the CRAP out of a boy who is seen teasing or bothering another boy's sister! In the WEST, it's considered an act of violence! It's an acceptable social and cultural behavior in Afghanistan!

I read the book a couple of years back and I don't want to do your homework... but think about their relationships! How Amir is always trying to please his father and looks up to him so much. Even though he knows that his father is imperfect he still idolizes him and will do anything to gain his respect, even if it means betraying his best friend.
