What I am wondering is why some people insist on maligning the Amish with untruths? We all live however we want to, they have the same right. They do live in a different manner because of how they interpret the Bible.

They do not hide away from the rest of the world, although maybe they should, seeing how wicked many of us are. They are seen doing business with us, as well as allowing us to do business with them, they also socialize with those they see as "trustworthy"- therefore can not be said to be "keeping to themselves."

They are 99% wonderful, kind, gentle, honest, very caring people, are the first to help others when a disaster strikes an area..

You would be better off asking an Amish person that question. However, don't expect to find many of them on the internet. They don't own computers, usually.

If you had a choice would you associate with the rest of us?

    I know I wouldn't.

I don't think they would ignore someone. But they do it so that they aren't influenced too much by society, I guess they want to maintain their culture.
