Is it ok to exercise when u r sick?

I am really sick like snuff nose, eyes water, and hot but no fever I have not gone to the gym in 2 days but I run last night out side, and tonight I what to Run out side would it be ok?

    Yes it is fine. Just take it easier than you normally would and drink lots of fluid.

    When you are sick your body is working overtime to heal itself.

    Any extra exertion upon the body will only slow the healing process.

    Sure you 'can' exercise if you must, but if you do then don't expect to get better sooner.

    It would be best to get better first by taking a few days off exercising, and then when you are better (and stronger) go back to your exercise regimen.

    It will prolong your illness. That's it. It depends on how sick you are. If you're on the tail end of a cold it won't really hurt. A good rule of thumb is if you think you're contagious, don't try to work out. Not because you'll spread the sickness, but for your own sake, if you're that sick, avoid strenuous activity.
