Is exhaust coming out of #2 spark plug port bad?

I have a 1993 Ford Escort 160,000 miles and a blown Exhaust manifold gasket and sounds really loud. But I can also see exhaust coming from the #2 spark plug port. Is this from the blown gasket or a whole other problem and is it bad? The car seems to run just fine but is loud. Has anyone else had this before were the exhaust comes the the spark plug ports?

STOP DRIVING THIS CAR AT ONCE! When the EXHAUST manifold starts to leak then you risk burning the EXHAUST VALVES! they CANNOT handle the abrupt added COLD Air entering the port! GET A NEW GASKET adn NEW BOLTS or CAP NUTS and have it fixed before it takes down the he ENGINE with iT!!! The ESCORT engine will last 300k miles EASILY! if cared for properly, and the NUMBER ONE REASON for the exhaust leak is a dirty IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE and THROTTLE BODY,a dn the use of CHEAP oil changes! FORDS LOVE mobil one 0W-30 engine oil, and BOSCH IRIDIUM Spark plugs! POWER WASH engine as well every 3-4 months to keep ROAD SALT and Debris from important engine parts! GOOD LUCK!!

Source(s): You are risking BURNING the alloy head right now and then you wil need a WHOLE NEW cylinder head. GET LEAK STOPPED AT ONCE before serious expensive trouble slaps you in the FACE!

It's coming from the blown head gasket, it's blowing out and making you think it's out of spark plug.
