My motherboard has slots for DDR2 and DDR3 ram. Can I have sticks of both at the same time?
I have the Gigabyte GA -P35C-DS3R motherboard that has DDR2 and 3 slots. If I put 4 gigs of DDR2 in and 4 gigs of DDR3 in, will my computer recognize both types and use them properly?

It's one or the other.
Their manual erroneously states DDR and DDR2 but the concept is the same (and it also references your specific board model).
