What is your favorite band and how were you first introduced to them?

My favorite band is Pink Floyd.

My father showed me 'Dark Side of the Moon' when I was approximately 11, and wasn't too interested at the time. I went back when a few weeks later and found 'Animals' and somehow that struck me more than DSotM. Well, now that I'm 17 and Pink Floyd's my favorite band I am in love with the two albums and much of their material.

My experience was not as intriguing as I hope some of yours are.

BQ: Least favorite album by your favorite band?

BQ2: How long did it take for this band to become your favorite?

BQ3: If you were to choose either peanuts or peacocks in your bed, which would you choose and why?

Blut aus Nord and I discovered the band when I was wondering around the magical and mythical forest called 'last.fm" :D Sorry, I don't have a cool story like other people do.

BQ: Least favorite album by your favorite band?

That's hard. Every BaN album is great, even the EPs. My least favorite is "777 - Sect(s)".

BQ2: How long did it take for this band to become your favorite?

After I listened to the album '777 - The Desanctification' for the very first time.

BQ3: If you were to choose either peanuts or peacocks in your bed, which would you choose and why?

Peacocks. They are pretty and I don't like peanuts!

My favorite band is a tie between Yes and Genesis( The Peter Gabriel Era 1969-1975 and the first Two Phil Collins led albums 1976&1977 )I was introduced to Yes my father happening to have the Yes album and I worked my way front and back with their extensive catalog. The only Genesis song with Peter Gabriel i first heard on the radio was The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.I then searched Youtube and discovered it all and loved it.My three favorite Yes songs are Awaken,Starship Trooper, and Close to the Edge.My three favorite Genesis songs are Firth of Fifth,Supper's Ready, and The Fountain of Salmacis.Pink Floyd and The Beatles follow closely behind with Yes, Genesis, and Pink Floyd being my Holy Grail of bands.

BQ: Least favorite album by Yes is Big Generator and Genesis is From Genesis to Revelation.

BQ2:It took longer for Genesis then it did for Yes because I had not discovered their earlier catalog, maybe ten more years.

BQ3:No peaNUTS OR peaCOCKS in my bed. Prefer a PUSSYcat.

First off, Pink Floyd rocks! and Dark Side is one of the best albums ever.

My favorite band at the moment is The Smashing Pumpkins. I was introduced to them by listening to the radio. I heard '1979' and fell in love. I had to find out more about them, and I sure am glad I did. Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness are both my favorite albums.

BQ: My least favorite album has to be Oceania, it's not for me.

BQ2: It did not take too long. There stuff is amazing so I was hooked instantly.

Mine was and still is The Rolling Stones. I was introduced by radio. I was raise on the blues and when they came out I fell head over heels for them.

BQ: Least favorite would be any greatest hit album.

BQ2: Right from the first song "Not Fade Away". as they were much more harder than other bands coming out at that time.

BQ3: Peanuts. I might think the Peacock was my ex wife.

My favorite artist is Shakira, which seems strange since most of the artists I like are metal or hard rock. (Other bands that I like are Alter Bridge, Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment, Jeff Loomis, that sort of thing) I was introduced to her by my older brother. One day I heard this beautiful music downstairs, so I asked him what it was and he said "Antes De Las Seis" by Shakira. I think I was thirteen then, now I'm almost sixteen. I have eight or nine albums and three live DVDs.

Least favorite album: She Wolf. My problem with this is that most people know music from this album, like the song She Wolf, and I hate it because it's a terrible song compared to what she is capable of. Also, it's what most people judge her by, which is so annoying. Listen to Octavo Dia, and look up the translation if you need it. Now THAT's a great song.

How long: A month or so. It was kind of slow at first, then once I discovered more of her music it was all at once.

Peanuts or Peacocks: Peanuts probably because they're less messy and you can eat them.

Mine has to be My Chemical Romance. I was introduced to their single I'm Not Okay (I Promise) in middle school by my best friend at the time and I thought it was great. But the album that really hit me was The Black Parade. The story is pretty typical of most fans, so I won't get into too much detail (plus it's a past that I'd rather not get into anyway). I'm really sad that they broke up as a band because they really are my heroes in more ways than one. But I'll always have the music and that's enough for me.

BQ: That would have to be I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. It's their first and their most raw, but I have few songs off that album I really like.

BQ2: Not long, they were among my favorite to being with but they stole the spot with TBP and still hold that spot

    Hiya Sheep Dude ~~:-)

Tool is my favorite band at the moment, and I was introduced to them in about 2001. I had heard a few of their songs before that like Sober and Stinkfist I think. I wasn't really impressed, I just thought they were ok. When Lateralus came out I was over at a friends house and he was like you gotta hear this new album by Tool, and I wasn't really all that excited about sitting through an entire album. But needless to say I loved it. Every song. I still think its one of the Top 5 albums ever produced. I am sure a lot of people would argue that, but its my ears that tell me that. ;-)

BQ: Id have to say Salival

BQ2: Well it wasn't instantly my favorite at first, but after listening to Lateralus and loving it I went back through all their other albums and realized just how much I really liked this band. But it sealed the deal when 10,000 Days came out in 2006. Once again another great album and then I knew they would be one of my all time favorites forever.

BQ3: Well it all depends what kind of peanuts they are and if I like them. If they are good, then they would have to sustain a consistency of flavor over a determined period of time. Only then will they be worthy of getting into bed with me. Same goes for the peacock, but I really dont want to deal with the feathers up my nose. =^.^=

We were watching some video thing in class at school, and this song started playing that I recognised. I managed to find the name of the song on the internet. I was Creep by Radiohead. I knew my Dad's favourite band was Radiohead, so I'd obviously heard it from him sometime. I started listening to some of their other songs, such as Fake Plastic Trees and Reckoner, which I instantly recognised and still love to this day. Before this I didn't know much about music and had only really listened to the top 40 music, which I understand now to be repetitive and boring, so this was all new to me.

Just the recognition of the songs made me interested, but now I know more songs by Radiohead, it's obviously much more now.

BQ: Probably Amnesiac, but I love Pyramid Song

BQ2: Not long, a month maybe?

BQ3: Peanuts, they don't move so I could sleep easier :)

Iron Maiden and Nightwish are my favorites...tough to decide between the two

My uncle took me to see them when I was 10 and I've been hooked ever since. Nightwish is a different story. I was introduced to them by a friend who's sister studied abroad in Finland in '98 and brought their first 2 albums home with her. My friend didn't care for them but I loved it. I never did return those albums to her lol.

    BQ - Maiden - "X-Factor"

Nightwish - "Angels Fall First" (their first album...good but doesn't stand up with the rest of their stuff)

BQ2 - Both were fairly instantaneous. Just something about the music resonated with me.

BQ3 - Peanuts. They won't crap on my pillow.
