Jeep Grand Cherokee motor swap?

I have a motor from a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo (4.0) and want to swap it into a 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Will it fit correctly? We had an issue when putting it into a 2001 Grand Cherokee...nothing lined up...different block mold :-\

Yeah 1998 and 1995 should be a clean swap and the 1998 will fit in a 1995. Both the 1998 and 1995 are ZJ's (the chassis code) and 1999 to 2004 are WJ's. Anything 1999 and after will not fit in your 1998. Best of luck swapping it.

With the right volume of money definite!, in case you imagine it truly is as person-friendly as a million) eliminate 5.2 engine, 2) deploy 5.2 engine, no it wont, it received't even start up inclusive of your present day digital administration. you should use a vehicle overall performance simulator[a million] to very almost swap the 5.2 and be conscious how your Cherokee will carry out with that engine and choose if worth or no longer

98 was the last year for that particular setup. It should be the same as a 95.
