Joseph was God fearing, of course not. It wasn't infidelity, it was an honor. I imagine He must have loved his wife even more, knowing that God had chosen her and that he would be an earthly father to Christ. Joesph loved Jesus.

Well - the bible can't actually make it's mind up on who the father was.

Paul and John say Joseph. Matt and Luke say Gahd.

For me...this just adds another level of disbelief to the entire story.

I have always imagined that Mary was raped by a gross uncle or someone like that. She didn't want to be forced to marry him, so she started telling stories and things got out of hand. You can't blame her.

  • They had 4 sons, and daughters also, AFTER the birth of God's Son Jesus.... those children were Jesus' half siblings..... apparently they got along well enough.....

Jesus Christ was not conceived sexually. Therefore, Mary was not ever an adulteress.

Well, what was Mary gonna do...tell God she had a headache?
