Infants should basically just get milk, until they hit around the half year mark. At which point you can either take him/her of milk or do a combination of baby food and milk. (I suggest if you have a blender to make your own since it's much cheaper and healthier, a lot of baby foods have added sugars and some preservatives so that they have longer shelf life.) At this point you can introduce veggies, fruits, grains, and meat stock (not actual meat). After a full year is up, then you can introduce proteins in forms like cooked meat.

Infants should consume ONLY breast milk or formula until at least 4 months. Then they can start with cooked pureed fruits and baby cereal. After 6 months (at least) they can have additional pureed foods (like meats and vegetables).
Infants should never consume honey, raw berries, nuts and peanut butter, acidic fruits like most citrus.

Never give any child under the age of four honey. They can get botulism. their immune systems aren't developed enough to fight it off like the rest of us.
