Has your Sage Rti Nino verification been accepted or rejected by HMRC?

I'm interested in hearing from anyone out there who's were accepted or rejected.

I think Hmrc has an enormous backlog and thats why it cannot be accepted.

Hi, based on HMRC’s RTI rules, you should only send a NINO Verification Request (NVR) once you have successfully sent a Full Payment Submission (FPS) which has then been validated by HMRC.

If you send an NVR before the FPS then it will fail with error 7804 ‘This submission cannot be accepted as a Full Payment Submission has not been received and successfully validated for this scheme reference.’ The NVR itself will be absolutely fine but it has failed purely because of the sequence of events.

Under normal circumstances the FPS will be processed within minutes of HMRC receiving it, but at the moment there may be a delay in processing the FPS’s and so it’s taking longer to get through them all.

Moving forward, this issue will not be a problem for anybody after the next few weeks because their FPS’s will have been processed.

    Regards

When you enrol for RTI you have to complete a Full Payment Submission. This takes time to be processed by HMRC and until it has been processed you can't submit a NINO request.

The process should only take a few days, but a backlog could affect the time scale.

Sorry, had to Google it to find out what it was as I had never heard of it. Anyhow, being retired and not using a pay roll of any description, it doesn't affect me. Something new and on a large scale nearly always causes a backlog.
