Can you give an example of when a Politician got something the wrong way around?

3 AnswersPolitics10 months agoCan you help clearing up a question on Red-shift for me that has been dogging me?
Take for example Galaxy A,B & C
A is 4 Billion LY away and is receding at 10,000 k/ps
B is 8 Billion LY away and is receding at 20,000 k/ps
C is 16 Billion LY away and is receding at 40,000 k/ps
The recession speed of the galaxies have been measured and the further away from us they are, the faster the measured recession speed. The conclusion reached is that the universe is now only expanding but accelerating.
When I look at it in a different way I conclude the universe is slowing down and decelerating.
When I take into account you cannot look out into space without looking back into time I see it as follows..
16 billion years ago the universe was expanding at 40,000 k/ps
8 billion years ago the universe was expanding at 20,000 k/ps
4 billion years ago the universe was expanding at 10,000 k/ps
To which I would conclude the universe is slowing down.
I made up the recession speeds, they are there only as a concept.
Now, I know both cannot be correct and that I am wrong, but I would like you input as to why I am wrong.
Many thanks in advance

1 AnswerDiet & Fitness4 years agoVB- How to wait for a response from a website?
I have many CD's which I want to sell to a site and have written a VB routine to place them on.
It works but I am currently using application wait function in order to wait for the site to be ready for input. Is there a better way to replace the application wait function with a function that waits until the webpage is ready for input? (Will save me a lot of time)
Or a small routine that you can do the same thing.
Many thanks in advance
This is what I am currently using
Sub Macro1()
Const Hyper1 As String = "http://www.musicmagpie.co.uk/start-selling/basket-...
ThisWorkbook.FollowHyperlink Address:=Hyper1 ', NewWindow:=True
'Anoying wait Time
Application.Wait (Now + TimeValue("0:00:30"))
Dim Result1 As String
'Start Music Magpie
For n = 1 to 200
' This looks up the Bar Code in an excel sheet
Result1 = Application.WorksheetFunction.Vlookup(n, Range("Scan!a1:b500"),2,false)
Sendkeys""& Result1, True
Sendkeys"{Enter}", True
'Anoying wait Time:
Application.Wait (Now + TimeValue("0:00:15"))
Next
End sub

1 AnswerProgramming & Design4 years agoExcel Experts, Can you help with Excel Speech?
When I enter data in cell ref:A1 and press <enter>, I need to computer to speak whatever word appears in cell reference E1.
For example,
I type “11841” in cell a1 and press <enter> and the computer reads out the word “apple” in cell ref E1.
I have about 500 different numbers to type in A1 which all change the word in E1, for each entry in cell a1 I need it to speak the contents of E1 every time <enter> is pressed.
Can this be done?
3 AnswersSoftware4 years agoThe observed red shifts in Galaxies, Has Time been taken into account?
The further out we see into the universe, the greater the red shift we observe. Which, we attribute the Galaxies moving faster away from us. The further away the Galaxy, the greater the observed red-shift.
A Galaxy which may be 12 billion light years away has a greater red shift than one which is 4 billion light years away. To conclude that the universe is expanding and accelerating is perfectly understandable if (C) was infinitely fast.
However, we cannot look out into the universe without looking back into time.
When observing the red shifts and we take into account time, could this indicate that the expansion was instead of speeding up it is slowing down.
(If 12 billion years ago the Galaxies were moving faster away from us compared with 4 billion years ago.)
Hope this makes sense.
6 AnswersAstronomy & Space5 years agoCan you explain as to not how but why the C.B.R is detectable?
I shall attempt to explain.
If the universe was subject to inflation and light beyond our horizon has yet to reach us, then would not the very echoes of the B.B, i.e, the C.B.R also be outside our horizon?
We detect the C.B.R which is within our horizon so can you clear this up for me as I am a little confused on this?
Thanks in anticipation for helping
