How to do non-calculator division?
I'm revising for my maths exam, but I've literally forgotten how to divide without using a calculator, I've never really been good at it.. Any suggestions? It's 486÷18

look at the first digit pf 486
18 can't go into 4 so bring down the next digit
18 goes in 48 2 times with 12 remainder
bring down the next digit
18 goes in 126 7 times with no remainder
=> 486/18 = 27 times.
