what is the illuminati?

The Illuminati WAS a society of German intellectuals who wanted to take power away from the corrupt nobles and bishops who controlled the local government. They were found out and banned, and the local prince issued a sensational report on them to make himself look good.

The society has not existed in any form for over 200 years, regardless of what random bozos on the internet say.
