It's founder Adam Weishaupt was the first lay professor of canon law at the University of Ingolstadt, so, he would have been a pretty remarkable man. He died in 1830, so, that was before the idea of celebrities really existed. Other notable members included Ferdinand of Brunswich, the diplomat Xavier von Zwack, and the Dukes of Gotha, and Weimar as well. So, notable people in their day.

But as the group ceased to exist as of 1785, no modern type celebrities were members.

The "Hollywood Illuminati" is a fairy tale made up by conservative Christians to explain why people on TV don't behave the way the preacher-man says they should. There is no Illuminati and hasn't been for over 200 years.
