How can I clean my ipod's charging slot?

Okay, I'm an idiot. I forgot one of those Cadbury eggs in my backpack with my ipod and when it melted, the ipod fell through the wrapper and it got chocolate and nougat into the charging slot. It was working right when I discovered it. I set up upright in a warm area hoping the goo would melt out but apparently there is still some in there. Is there a way to clean it so I can use it again?

    Go to RadioShack & ask for tuner cleaner aerosol. Make sure it is turned off when you clean it.
