Can purity come from impurity?

Can that which is imperfect create perfection?

Update:

No, Jerome. It is not the wrong category.

This is a question of spirituality in that can we as impure and imperfect sinners elevate ourselves to purity and perfection.

Update 2:

Yes, "all things" They are not equal...that is why I asked regarding both aspects.

What are you really asking because purity =/= perfection

Sure. It's possible to refine a silicon nodule so that a microgram of it contains nothing but silicon atoms, using a zone refining technique.

There are a variety of physical processes that cause a local increase in complexity, from less complex origins.

    let's use gold for example

its mined as ore - the gold being mixed with base materials like rocks, base minerals, etc

but by adding great heat to the mixture, the "dross" (impurities) float to the top and are scooped off and thrown away

    This leads to purer gold.

scripture says this is what God does with us - makes us purer by adding great heat in the form of tribulations

Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: [when] he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people: and they shall say, The LORD [is] my God.

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
