Inner peace is a state of being. I found that it was not in my emotions, but I found peace through them. It is beyond emotions. They are not strong enough to hold the peace. They are not stable enough. Emotions sway, peace is stable. I usually have to do meditations. I also learned not to use emotions too much. They cause a lot of trouble when it comes to me thinking I'm right. I usually analyze every situation and look how I can make it better. Not to be fit just for me, but also for the next person too. I realized I had to treat every situation as though I was looking for the best way to express peace. I realized I had to find out what is peace, then I had to become it. When you become peace, every situation you encounter will result in peace. You don't really look for it. It never was lost. It is already there, you just have to use it. How can you find something that is right there. It is in you. You just bring it out. Become Peace. It is the same way with enlightenment. You become it. Just like riding a bike, it is unconsciously done and you had to practice that until it was burned in the subconscious mind. Now it is burned in and you never forget it. That is what it takes to become something. That is the problem with people, we tend to think we need to find it. Think about how peace looks in your minds eye. Contemplate on it. Meditate on it. See what it takes to express it every moment of awareness.

Another way I found peace was reading things that represented the deepest levels of peace. Things that magnified the energy of peace. I would always read things that made the feeling of peace spring up like a lotus in the other persons pond of peace in my heart. That way when I was in the heat of things, these peaceful people and ideas would pop up in mind. Then, I would just come up with a formula for overcoming whatever situation I was in. The way that emanated that peace I was witnessing in my heart. I created the peace. You make it spring up in the next person. Subconsciously done. That way it springs up in them too. Like I say, you become it. Every result will become the essence of peace.

Understanding peace takes understanding unconditional love. Then you come to see and hear that everyone wants to be heard. Everyone wants to be right in their actions.

You, as peace should never getting elated. Then, you can see when someone else is desiring peace. They try to find it. They are upset they haven't found it too. They get mad with me, you, and themselves for getting that way. They search for it outside and within. They never think to just become it. Simple. Peace!

Source(s): I do that meditation of the pond of peace that Abovelet mentions. Eye been there too. Peace. It's like being in the cocoon in the midst of transformation. Nothing to disturb it. It transforms you. Mystical

I follow these rules to find inner peace.

I Quiet my mind. Sit quietly to free and empty my mind of thought.

Rest frequently. Find a comfortable spot to unwind, relax or take a nap.

    Learn to meditate.

Free myself of stress and worries.

Try not to do everything at once. There's no rush to do anything.

Think only of what is at hand. Think less about the past or future. Today is different from the past.

  • ღTo find inner peace, it is often necessary to be willing to give up some things that seem to be important but are not. For example, often we want is to keep us attached to something with which we are already accustomed to, but this is what prevents us from being truly happy.

So if things are already bad in some respect for you for some time, would not it time to let go? Let these things and people go away from your life and open to the new, because only then will you have the much desired peace of mind

    I once read that

"inner peace is a daily struggle, a battle."

As I grew older I couldn't believe how true these words were.
