Smoking and having surgery?
I am having shoulder surgery on Tuesday morning, I occasionally like maybe 2 or 3 times every couple of weeks. I smoked a couple times last week. I told my doctor I didn't smoke because my mom was in the room and she would flipped. Should I call my doctor on Monday and tell him that I occasionally smoke. I am 17 so is my doctor at liberty to tell my mom that I smoke? I an just worried now,

They're just concerned about post operative wound healing, and being able to wean you off the ventilator after general anesthesia. If your only smoking a couple cigarettes 2 or 3 times every couple of weeks, its not that significant.
