Piracy? Whats the difference?

Okay so I was just thinking... Why is there Piracy? They say it is against the law to download games/music/shows/etc that you do not own, correct? Well someone bought the copy that is being pirated by others... Why is that against the law yet, we can go over to a friends house and hand them a cd or a game and say "Here, keep it" They didn't buy the game so what is the big deal? It isn't against the law because it's physical?

it isn't against the law to my knowledge to make a mix CD and give it to people you know. WHY is it against the law for people to share things they bought with others, online? Now I know this doesn't include all of the pirated items but I don't understand the big difference besides more people are pirating from the online file then in person when you give someone your copy.

Like, I can go, install a game that doesn't need a cd to play after the installation, and then give it away... So, is that piracy? Isn't that the same thing in essence?

Movie and Music Piracy is one of the worst types of Intellectual Property (IP) Crimes that affect our economy. The theft of music and movies truly represents a loss to the movie studios, record labels, and artists that have worked so hard to create a product that the consumers desire. The record labels and movie studios do not make money on every CD or movie they release. In fact, the music industry only turns a profit on 1% of their artists. So when you really think about how much money is spent in research and development on all the artists and then add piracy into the equation, it can’t be good.

The movie studios and record labels spend years in developing their products. So when a pirate immediately steals their creation as soon as it is released, the studios and record companies lose millions of dollars instantly. The general public really does not understand the harmful effects that piracy has on all of us. We all need to educate ourselves and those around us to the true harmful effects of piracy. Nothing positive comes from piracy.

The illegal downloading of music is no different than buying a pirated CD from a vendor standing on the street corner. There really is no difference. Anytime a consumer is not purchasing an authentic CD or DVD, they are hurting legitimate businesses, artists, and are also helping fund criminal organizations.

Music and Movie piracy has been tied to organized crime, child labor, narcotics trafficking, and other very serious crimes. Criminals are looking at piracy as a crime that is worth committing because the risks are very low, but the reward is extremely high. Pirates and counterfeiters can make more money than drug dealers and do not face the same risks. The United States of America is known for Hollywood and the music industry. If piracy continues to grow, these industries will fail to exist as we know them today.

The sector media is speaking, however there are different things to recollect. One is of direction the japanese focus proper now, but it surely's traditionally additionally the fact that most folks would remember what Israel just did to be good. When Israel appears good, many individuals just do not need to record on it. Of course, they must, but it surely's authentic with more than simply Israel that demise and controversy get probably the most insurance policy and the most reveal time. Seeing that Israel did not kill the (really peaceful) transporters, nobody cares. All i will be able to say is that, if these weapons are certainly for use against Israel, then go Israel!
