Advice on getting back into anime?

Okay, so after watching One Piece, I cannot get into any other anime. The only other show I watch now is Game of Thrones, which is a "real" people show. Please don't tell me to watch Death Note, Naruto, Dragon Ball, or any mainstream in general. I just need so sort of advice on how to get back into anime. I feel like I lost my passion. I try watching new anime & old, but I simply cannot get into it. The same goes with manga.

Lindsay has it right. After you finish a series (in some cases, not all) you fell ,neh, but after a kittle and you watch a different one (depends on what you like, and if it fits your taste), you will find your self watching a new one. Like me, recently I rewatched DBZ(again lol) and was like meh, to new anime, then Started to read Rosario Vampire, then started to read AND watch Fairy Tail, then is turns into me reading a few other mangas lol. But because I found those certain types of Mangas I enjoy in Genre, I ended up liking anime and (especially) Manga again.

There are plenty of good mangas/animes. Me personally I like the Mangas better, because in most animes(pending on genre) will completely destroy the story/plot/and everything about the manga making it strictly for fan service and ignore the story and go in itsd own direction.

For example. My favorite Manga of all time is Rosario Vampire. I love the story, plot, comedy, characters, action(real action and story in manga), and a bunch other stuff. In the anime, they dont do any story, fights are cheesy and 2 second fights(most tfights in main story parts, or fighting arcs take 4 or more chapters) and you know who he will end up with in the Manga season 2(not anime). Dont get me started on explaining how much the anime screwed up the manga LOL. Id grade the anime less than 0% if there was an option for how it follows manga. Tsukune(main guy character becomes bada$$(not weak wuss as in anime).

I can point to a couple Mangas you can try reading.

Rosario Vampire - Genre - Action(real action that gets to fights that take 3 or more chapters, current arcs fights have gone on over 15 and still going), Comedy, Supernatural, Harem(It shouldnt have this title IMO because its very obvious who he loves(1 girl kinda 2 if you count personalities lol) and we already know how it will end(with Ura Moka, very ovious in current arc in season 2 in manga).More popular than most think, latest volume ranks 34th on amazon in manga sales, on one of the top currently ongoing mangas recent volumes)READ MANGA NOT ANIME.

Freezing. Full of action, story with comedy thrown in there. Girls are the bada$$ fighters while the guys are support fighters for a nice change.

Nisekoi - Straight up comedy harem. Hilarious, all there is to say lol.

To love ru/Darkness - Comedy, harem and action. To love ru is mostly comedy and harem, but To love ru darkness has Comedy, harem and action. Darkness is part 2 of series and picks up where To love ru ends.

You said not to but Fairy Tail. My 2nd favorite Manga.

Source(s): Give at least Rosario Vampire a try(dont have to) but if you like Comedy, and action where the action is real action and not ripoff action where fights are quick, then give Rosario Vampire a try. You have to get to chapter 23 before the story truly picks up, story starts in 15 but the chapter starts the build to everything that happens the last like 75 chapters. Real story and plot that goes chapter after chapter and picks up where last chapter left off. The story is a serious/darker type story.

The very first one I watched was once Ghost in the Shell, although that is likely a little older than you're watching for. If you're looking for a romance, Clannad is typically the fine of them. AnoHana can be a (still superb) extra up to date one. I really enjoyed Bakemonogatari, however it may be slightly bizarre from time to time. Steins;Gate and different Nitro+ titles constantly get very excessive rankings (some thing lower within the appealing females department, but with very very high ratings is Madoka Magica, even though it can be quite darkish). If you're looking for whatever slightly much less critical and more lulzy, OreImo is lovely first rate (and still has adorable ladies). Protip: stay away from the super lengthy shounen sequence (Naruto, Bleach, etc.)

I know exactly how you feel. When I would finish an anime I would feel just like blah.. It would be helluh hard to get in to a new one. But the trick is to force yourself to watch the first 5 episodes and hopefully and most likely you'll be hooked.

Ones that I was skeptical about but are now my all time favorite

    Skip beat

    Kuroshitsuji

    Sket dance

    Other suggestions

    Kaichou wa maid sama

    Chihayafuru

    Blood

    Elfin lied

    Suki tte ii na yo

    Uta no prince sama

Sorry I suggested helluh romance genres :p I just that kind of person. Good luck anyway! ;)

well I used to be like that after watching death note XD

Anyway, what you should try doing is putting your heart into it and really enjoying it yeah? Just think about how much work someone put into creating it and appreciate it.
