why am I stuffy all the time?
For the last 7 months Ive had of trouble with my sinus. never had trouble with allergies, not sneezing, coughing, or itchy watery eyes, runny nose, or anything else you might contribute to allergies. One side of my nose will feel plugged almost constantly. Ive been taking a generic Sudafed with pseudoephedrine from the pharmacy counter at Wal-Mart. It opens me up usually & I go about my day. seems to be worse at night. I cant lay down, it feels like I cant breathe. Usually I can fall asleep laying in my bed (if I have taken the Sudafed prior to bed) only to wake up 45 minutes to an hour later. The only fix I have found is to sleep on the couch sitting up. I am overweight, and have gained a lot of weight being off work for the last 8 months. That is really the only thing I can relate to my issues. What should I do?
This is nothing new, like I said its been constant for the last 7 months, and I don't have any allergy symptoms, nor have I ever had allergy problems. Could it be that just one day I woke up and my body decided "today you start having allergy problems?"

Aside from giving you the obvious advice of talking to your gp, I believe your symptoms may be related to one of the following medical issues.
An EMT scan SHOULD reveal any underlying problems, so push your doctor or gp for one if nothing is happening.
Nasal Polyps - http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Polyps-nose/Pages/Int...
sinusitis - http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Sinusitis/Pages/Intro...
Allergic fungal rhinosinusitis - http://www.aspergillus.org.uk/newpatients/leaflets...
Hope you feel better as soon as possible!
Allergic reactions can develop and dissipate multiple times over the course of your life, so the fact it came on later in life doesn''t mean we can rule it out.

I'm guessing that you either have allergies or a sinus infection. If it is allergies you may need something better than sudafed, Zycam might be more appropriate. If you have a sinus infection you are going to need a doctor to diagnose it, infections are usually treated with antibiotics which will require a prescription.

I have too. I know it's bad but when I started taking my allergy meds again it started to clear up. Go out and buy some zyrtec it works really well. Hope I was a help. :)

You take Vitamin C 500 Mg one tablet daily continuously. Try to cover your head and ears while you are in A/C atmosphere. Sleep your head at considerably high position. Do not allow or create an atmosphere to sweat your head.
