Microwave oven switches OFF??

After keeping item inside, setting time and Start button is pressed, oven switches OFF automatically. Power connected properly. Door closed properly.
It is new and has never been used.

Bought from Saudi Arabia and sent to India via Freight........
It works properly in DEMO MODE....

There may be a voltage or frequency or both, difference between the utility supply of the two countries. Check the tag on the back of the oven and find out what your supply voltage and frequency is.
If the oven has electronic pressure pad control buttons, make sure the protective plastic that sometimes covers the buttons is removed. Grime on the surface of pressure pads can also cause these hi-tech products to act strange.
If there is a voltage or frequency difference between supplied power and what the unit was made for, it probably won't work or won't work as expected. If so, send it back as a gift to a friend in the country where it was purchased. Buy another locally and get a simpler and cheaper version. Less features on appliances also means less problems.
