Do you think it is reasonable for the British Government,?

To spend !0 Million Pounds on a State Funeral, yet refuse to give any compensation to Farmers who lost most of their sheep in deep snowdrifts at lambing time. A lot of these Farmers will never recover from this now.It would have cost the Government about 1 million to help all these farmers.

No way! £10 million for a funeral for a very rich woman who also has a very rich son was disgraceful, that money should not have been spent on something like that! Especially not when they are cutting peoples benefits which is the only money they can survive on until they find more work or even for the rest of their lives if they are disabled and unable to work. Also the NHS couldn't half do with that money too! I don't think people will forget what the condemn government just did with taxpayers money after telling us for months and months that we need to be careful with money and not live beyond our means. Why can't MP's control themselves? It is always when it is other peoples money that they have some kind of spending problem?

If they don't help those farmers though and they can't recover from that then they would need possibly financial help from the state anyway for a bit. I thought that the government were all for what they like to call "strivers"? What happened to making hard work pay?

I always find it strange how some people support their money going towards helping the rich but act horrified about the idea of their tax money going to help the poorer people and vulnerable. Why are they happy for their taxes to go to people who don't even need that money but not to help a hard worker who is just trying to keep their livelihood from going under??? I don't understand some people, it's like they think that the rich are superior to them or something.........

Yes. The people of Britain owe a huge debt to Mrs Thatcher. Her memory is a national treasure and she deserved the honour of a ceremonial funeral.

Farmers should not be compensated by the tax payer anymore than I should if I have problems with my business. I hope they had insurance.
