Atheists: What are your thoughts on this?

I just posted a question in order to spur on some responses from atheists. I argue that the life of the atheist is utterly and completely without purpose. Why?

I don't rejoice in your beliefs but if an atheist is to be truthful - nothing you do really matters. Because in the end all will be lost. Consider an answer one atheist gave me who said, "No, I hope to provide a secure future for my children. I find joy and hope in them."

But all of this is lost once the universe is done. All is utterly useless. Your hope is gone. The secure future is gone. Your children are gone. All is lost. This is the logical conclusion for the atheist. All is lost. I don't rejoice in it. I'm making a point to the atheist regarding his or her end.

Another atheist said, "Atheists live life to enjoy it and make the people around them happy."

Yet this, too, is all lost. Blown away with the wind. Once the universe is done.

Another atheist said, "i find reality to be fascinating, reality isn't bad or depressing. Learning how things work and knowing how things happen does not make things any more marvelous or Beautiful."

And, yet again, all of the "fascination and reality" is lost. A chasing after the wind. Learning how things work and knowing how things happen will all be lost. It is useless. You will not remember it and all is lost.

This is why atheism is a lie. We are not here to black out and be lost. We are hear for an express purpose and it behooves us to seek out this purpose. And the purpose, as each of us well know, is found only in Christ.

Peace and love to those atheists who will ultimately become my brothers and sisters in Christ.

I can't wait to meet you on that day.

Yes, peace and love to all of you.

If someone believes in atheism, that doesn't mean the work they have accomplished in their life is in vain. In reference to what you mentioned, one said they wish to secure a good future for their children. It is not as if their children are (definitely) going to die before they can accomplish something with the life their parent(s) has given them. I believe (for I am not an atheist) that atheists believe that when you die, you will not go heaven, you will simply decompose in your grave.

From what you have wrote, I have the impression that you believe that atheism is a lie because, according to what you believe to be atheism, their whole life would be for nothing because the universe will eventually become non-existent. (Which, with what I learned from science, I think is impossible.) This does not mean that the atheist's life would have been for nothing. They could potentially accomplish something that Would benefit humanity 'until the end of the universe'.

You saying there is no meaning to an atheist's life is similar to saying that there is no meaning to anyone's life, because all efforts to benefit humanity will all be in vain, as the universe will eventually 'end', which is simply not true. Just because the universe may 'end', does not mean they cannot do anything with their life now that will mean anything. If the universe does end, logically (according to what you believe atheists believe in), it will not for a very, very long time, essentially not affecting the present atheists or many generations to come at all, as it will be so far into the future. During this enormous time period, these atheists can do what they want with their life, until the 'end'.

Also, your whole argument is based on what you think is atheism. Atheists gave you their response to your argument saying an atheists life is meaningless, yet you say, 'No, that is not what atheists believe in, so you are wrong, (because I am a Christian who knows everything about atheism).' Reiterating; Atheists gave you their answers. Atheists. It is logical to say that an atheist Knows more about atheism than a non-atheist. This provides evidence supporting the fact that you do not UNDERSTAND (simply emphasizing) atheism. As such, your whole argument collapses because it is based on what you understand to be atheism. Know that I do not mean to undermine your intelligence by saying that you do not understand atheism, as you have your own religion to believe in.

When the universe ceases to exist, if ever, the Earth and everything on it will have long since been reduced to a charred rock. That's assuming it even survives the death of the sun. The end of the universe comes billions or even trillions of years later.

Or do you think the Earth is somehow going to last forever?

i suppose you are the same guy whom i replied "you've got to be insane" at the end

you've got to be taking drugs to say that the atheist world is miserable and wretched. or drinking.

so i'll get to responding to your conclusion based on your crap. you say that atheistic world is based the statement "everything good is gone". well this is no definition of our view i've ever heard of. in your next question, i suggest you tell us why you really think such stupid thing.

if you think this because the universe doesn't have a purpose, i'll tell you something: universe may not have a purpose but life does. and that is to survive, be happy, reproduce and so on. so we DON'T lead a life based on misery.

you're not just insane, you are utterly brainwashed and stupid.

So atheism is a lie because....you feel it is.

Well I'm sorry honey, but reality is not contingent upon your feelings.

I don't want to step all over other atheists, but I think it's safe to say that we have an evidence-based world view. What you don't seem to understand is that you haven't met the burden of proof, so we don't believe in your God.

Regardless of whether or not your God actually exists, we're not convinced he is, because the universe appears to be as though it was formed by unguided processes. This by itself isn't a world view, but an observation.

    Atheism is an observation.

If you want to call it a lie, great - but if you want us to take it seriously, you need to demonstrate that it's a lie. Merely asserting so isn't good enough.

Peace and love to those dipshit theists who will ultimately become worm food.

    :)

i don't be attentive to any of the "supernatural" legends of the shroud. yet here are my questions. a million. think that's a actual burial shroud, how might absolutely everyone ever be waiting to instruct it replace into Jesus'. 2. think it replace into shown to be the actual burial shroud of Jesus, so what? It does not instruct something different than that Jesus replace right into a actual individual. My know-how is that technology has no longer been waiting to illustrate the shroud is a pretend, yet that does no longer advise that's what people think of that's.
