What should I wear to my job interview?

I've got a job interview tomorrow but I don't really have decent interview clothes. I've decided to go shopping tomorrow before to get clothes for the interview.

The job I'm being interviewed is in a cafe. I've got a black blazer, black ballet pumps and a knee length black dress but I think they look a bit too formal for a cafe job.

I'm a 20 year old woman. What should I wear?

I was told once by a career adviser to dress one step up from the position you'll be hired for... So in this case like others have mentioned, some nice pants and a dress shirt. Your flats should be fine, but the blazer is over kill. On a side note, since this is a food service type job, make sure your nails are clean and free from chipped polish. If it's possible you may even want to pull your hair back. These are just a few suggestions I've learned the hard way... Good Luck

Follow this tip. I did part time in cafe and I attended interview and one of my friend, she wore shirt and pant. Best thing is wear shirt and pant. Dont wear blazer as it is just an interview in cafe and not a formal interview that take place in an office environment. I feel the interview is just a formal meet to know who you are how you speak and how you carry yourself. It has got nothing to do with meeting clients, make presentation and more. So relax and present yourself in a friendly manner which is essential for customer service. Good luck!

I wouldn't go too formal if it's for a café job. just wear normal every day clothes. as long as you're respectable looking and you don't look like a total scruff it should be alright.
