What happens if you get caught recording a fight at school ?

this actually happened with a few students that my sister taught. there was a huge fight, and 3-4 of her students just stood there and videotaped it egging the fight on with "do it" "Punch them" etc. the principal found out and expressed that because they did not do anything and they actually condoned the actions by videotaping it instead of getting help, they would receive a similar punishment as those who were actually fighting. this included 2 day suspension for each student recording vs a 4 day suspension to those who were actually fighting.

if they took your ipod they will probably look through it to see who was in the fight, and give them the punishment they deserve, while they may also give you some sort of punishment as well for not doing the right thing.

That depends on who's "side your on and the intent of what you were to do with it (at least that is what would determine things for me).

Were you recording to prove who started it or to help the person being attacked in any way.??

Detention.

First they're going to see the footage of what happened, then they'll delete it, and finally you'll either get detention or worse-case scenario you get suspended but I highly doubt that unless it's a strict school.
