Are things always not what they seem?

I emotionally understand the deep illogicality

of your last three lines.

Somewhere in my memory of lengthy pain experienced,

I recall the anguish of the dichotomy.

So I think it a whimsical and tearful poem, but a `universal`, and good to read..

BTW, I`m pleased to be re-ignited in my faith in your work -

which I almost forfeited in a fit of pique

when you seemed to have been going through the

near-mandatory arrogant first phase of, `published poet, so I can slam you` phase...(been there...) -

by your quoting Patten (he and I have been part of one another`s mindsets).Thanks Dinesh....

People and things are sometimes as they seem....

it depends on how we view them if that`s fine or otherwise, yes?

The thing people choose to forget about "love" is that it isn't a something to be held and definitely not to be held in stasis, it is relationship.

Love is relationship between faulty and fallible human beings who are, themselves, in constant change. People who will not grow are dysfunctional and the relationship that will not grow to enhance the people involved, is just as surely doomed to perish. Life is not cruel, people are cruel to one another.

And what does not being able to distinguish between sadness and hope mean??

The saying goes "things are not always what they seem", not "always not what they seem".

Your poem on writerscafe is barely cohesive and gratuitously sad and hopeless.

Are things NOT ALWAYS what they seem?...OH WELL PRESS ON.

I enjoyed reading your piece Dinesh. Tell me who can't tell SADNESS FROM HOPE?

The last three lines for me let your piece down, MY OPINION...

and how miserable, to

not be able to tell

sadness from hope.

Eventually, hearts find another warm fire to sit by and become warm again.
