Do you think the threat of H7N is being downplayed?

Oh, I know it's not here in the USA, but here's some scary thoughts..

1.Mortality is already 20%, and maybe there's milder cases undiagnosed that would bring that stat down, but.. the big majority of the patients are still in the hospital!.. which I will take as meaning that they aren't out of the woods.. like 70% of the first 10 cases ended in death.

2. They say there's only sporadic vs sustained human-to-human which can be read it isn't easily spread via human respiration.. but since 40% of cases claim no poultry contact.. could it be that this virus spreads tenaciously via surface/residue-to-membrane contact?

    Yes, maybe somewhat. Yoiu can bet if we were in a slower, less eventful news cycle that you would hear more bout it
