need help with this medical term, fatigue, shortness of breath and general malaise?

my question is what do i do if a patient or a resident comes in with a symptoms of fatigue but not chronic, shortness of breath or general malaise, What type of tests would will I have to suspect and order and why and how would i treat these symptoms. i just need to know more about this symptoms.

    Consider mental illness and the physical effects it has on the body, as they often put a lot of strain on your brain and work your body into over drive creating fatigue - especially anxiety and stress disorders.
