At the end of the day,if your caloric intake is within what you plan to lose weight, you will lose weight.intermittent fasting wouldn't be recommended for those with weak minds or those who are just starting out to lose weight.why?because you have been going on without food for so long, when you finally get to eat,you are most likely to over eat, causing you gain wight.if you're able to control ,go ahead.best way to do intermittent fasting would be to have a planned meal for the end of your fast to prevent yourself from over eatjng

Fasting is only good for you in the spiritual sense if done as a penance during the time of Lent. The denial of self becomes a great cleansing of the spirit in order to right one's self with God.

As far as for health reasons for fasting, it is not a good idea ever. It causes your body to react in a sort of survival mode where your body will force itself to store any extra fat. Your body assumes a catastrophe has occured where you may not eat again for a while and to protect itself, it will convert every calorie directly to fat production.

You can fast safely by drinking water and fruit juices. But take heed of your body signals if you start to feel lightheaded or disoriented in any way. Shortages of salts, minerals, and vitamins can cause issues in musculoskeletal function and electrochemical impulses in your central nervous system if overdone for too long. No more than a few days is ever recommended.

Fasting will cause more damage than good. it is better to simply eat smaller, nutritionally rich meals more often in order to keep your metabolism going and burning fat in the process.

meal timing is irrelevant, so is your carb intake, but intermittent fasting is a good "tool" to use if you have a hard time managing your calories (snacking throughout the day) I like doing IF while cutting, but not bulking.

its good for weight loss for some people, but not for others

ive done it and have gotten great results. it does require a bit of discipline to not eat for a certain amount of hours, but it works if you have your diet and workout routine in check
