Gay People Adopting

Everyone has the right to adopt kids, but why is it a big deal when the gay community does it? The gay community should have the same rights as the rest of us. They are people too. They have the same needs and feelings like us. Many people are against the gay community adopting kids because they believe kids need a female and male role model, and the kids can turn gay. While others believe the gay community should be able to adopt kids because they are giving the kids love and a family they never had, they have the same capability as a heterosexual parent to raise a child, and there is a lower percentage of divorce in a gay marriage then a straight marriage. I believe we all should have the same right to adopt a child; show them love and give them a nice home and a loving family like they deserve it.

All kids need a loving family they need an adult to be a role model to them. Many people believe that the gay community shouldn’t adopt kids as their own. They believe the kids need both female and male as parents to be their role model. According to Debate.org “A child needs a Mom and Dad, Not two Moms and not two Dads. A father can never make up for the place of a mother. This subject is usually about the couple, but we need to stop and remember the child. The child needs both parents to have a healthy house. Being raised by two dads or two moms is no different than living in a divorced house. You have plenty of one parent, but none of the other.” Another quote I found in Debate.org of an anonymous writer disagreeing with gay people adopting “A child needs a father and a mother. When a child does not get a chance to know how a man and a woman fit together, they will never get the chance to know how a normal family works. Even statistics underline my argument that it is bad for children to have homosexual parents.” Other people believe that kids really don’t need both female and male parents to have role models; they can still get a good example from a lesbian couple and a gay couple. They believe that no matter if it’s a mom and a dad or two moms or two dads it will still have the same effect on the child. Also according to Think Progress New Lesbian Parenting Study Debunks ‘Fatherless’ Male Role Model Concerns (by Zack Ford on Jun 20, 2012 at 1:25 pm) says “The Williams Institute worked with the adolescents from the National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLFFS) to compare those who had a male role model (such as the biological father, an uncle, or a grandfather) with those who did not. (Note: Conservatives attack the NLFFS for being a convenience sample, but when it started in 1980, identifying openly as a lesbian couple raising children was hardly convenient.) The study found that neither boys nor girls differed in their psychological well-being or stereotypical gender roles regardless of whether or not they had a male role model. Researchers suggest this compromises the myth that fathers and sons and mothers and daughters have some sort of unique gender-specific connection.” It proves that kids with homosexual parents and kids with heterosexual parents are still the same no damage is done to the kid. It really doesn’t matter if it’s both males and both females parenting a kid all it matters if the parents provide for the kids and show love and commitment to them. Parents’ commitment is what matters, not their gender. There is nothing “ideal” about having both a mother and a father, because the roles that mothers and fathers play is interchangeable. What all studies have shown even those that conservatives manipulate to oppose same-sex marriage and adoption is that having a stable home with committed parents is what makes the difference for children. Any conclusion drawn to attack same-sex couples is supported only by anti-gay bias, not any of the actual data available. People shouldn’t worry about who has the kid they should just be happy the child is happy with a caring and loving person.

Update:

here is the rest of the essay:

“Homosexual people shouldn’t adopt kids because the kids will turn gay.” We hear that a lot when someone brings up this subject. The people who say that are not all the way correct this is just something people say because they are afraid of how this world has changed with the sexual orientation and they feel like its breaking the norms of life. Studies have proven that this statement is false. Many children from heterosexual families have also been known to become homosexuals. According to The American Psychological Association also states "Research suggests that sexual identities (including gender identity, gender-role behavior, and sexual orientation) develop in much the same ways among children of lesbian mothers as they do among children of heterosexual parent. There is no conclusive evidence that homosexuality is linked to one's environment. In other words, growing up in a gay couple household will not "make" a child gay. Read Nat

A lot of this information is false. I would double check my sources if I were you. The first sentence about how everyone has the right to adopt, is just plain not true. The criteria are incredibly high for potential adoptive parents. You also are shoving your opinion down the reader's throat but aren't backing it up with enough evidence, making it redundant.

Which is easier to think: This individual is particularly psychic and all of science is improper or that your mom gave this character some understanding in the past? She could have been informed by your mother that you just had been coming and she or he can have executed some research. She could also be very good a bloodless studying. You might be amazed at how much know-how you gave her by using your expressions when she stated specified things. As a enjoyable trick I memorized a record of ten matters that fortune tellers and palm readers say when they do a studying. Every time i've completed a ‘reading’ i've gotten as a minimum four hits. When asked about how well I did just about everyone tells me I obtained half or extra proper. How could this be? These ten matters are authentic for practically every person and nearly each person has no clue that what is right about them is correct for about ninety nine.Forty four% of every person else! Google “cold studying” and be amazed at how convenient it is to persuade men and women, even hard core skeptical folks such as you that the impossible is clearly being finished! However, as you already know, science can also be relied upon and humans who tell the long run will not be quite doing so and most of them comprehend it!

Amazing! And beautifully detailed! As a gay teenager myself (13 years young), I respect you, and appreciate you so much!! I just wish everyone felt this way, and realized that we are humans, and have done nothing to deserve the hate and judgment we get everyday. I'm not sure if you're wanting me to critique this passage, so...imma go lol. But again, thank you!!
