I believe the correct answer would be yes, as one leads to the other. Once I have received Jesus Christ into my heart as Lord and Saviour, and been baptized in his name, his spirit, the holy ghost, resides within me. Then understanding as it says in 2 Corinthians 6:16 …for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

God is dwelling within me a person being made up of three things; body, soul and spirit. In order to see his spirit and presence manifest in me and shine through more in my life I must do as John the Baptist said in John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

It takes work. I can live by the example my Lord Jesus Christ set for me in his Word. Having the Word written in my heart and mind, leading every thought captive that would exalt itself against that Word, being ready in every moment to bring revenge against the disobedience of the flesh; obedience can be fulfilled. I can receive deliverance from the devils that assault me and freedom from the chains that bind me. I can live like my Lord as He is living in me, there can be less of me and more of Him! I can make more room for Him in my life and see my Lord Jesus Christ manifest in my life more and more in every part of my life as my relationship with Him grows stronger and stronger.

So the answer is a resounding yes to both as one leads to the other! Thank you Jesus!

I believe it is the latter, as Paul said "Only one life, it will soon be past, Only what is done for Christ will last," So unless it is done for love of Christ, which God has put into our hearts, then of course Christ lives in us, and shines through us.

    Yes!

We are to try to live like Christ, AS Christ lives through us.

One evangelist I heard said that we should work as though everything depends on us, then pray as though everything depended upon God.

There's a story to illustrate that - a flea and an elephant living in a jungle, wanted to knock down the bridge to keep the humans out, so they stood in the center of the bridge and started jumping up and down until the bridge started to break, at which time they scampered off the bridge to safety.

After the bridge collapsed, the elephant turned to the flea and said "Great job. We did it!"

Jesus says to us, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord" because we put out our best effort, but like the flea, it amounted to nothing, and God really did it all in and through us.

In other words, we cooperate with God as partners. He doesn't take over our lives like puppets.

Well, at least that's MY take on this.

Well...both. The former means that we try to live in the spirit of Christ, kindly and in aiding the marginalised, and aiding others spiritually. And it is with love and charity that Christ continues to live through us and in humanity, because love and charity is all that Christ is about.

We could try to live like Him but He didn't come to be a mere example for us. He came to redeem us so that He could live His life through us.

It takes billions and billions of us to express the glory that resides in Christ. He's a lot bigger, grander than we often realize.

As one of the apostles said, I think it was Paul, For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

also I am crucified with Christ, never the less I live, yet not I but He who lives in me.

When we allow Him to live thru us - we are like Him because He shines thru us.

When we try to live like Him - we are trusting in our own strength to do the job.

He tells us to allow Him to take the wheel- not just be a backseat driver.

We must let Him reign and rule our heart and will- then we live in His strength and He will go before us:)
