Can you agree with Senator Toomey's candor on republicans voting in Congress?
In talking about why the expanded background checks for gun buyers failed, he candidly said,
"In the end it didn't pass because we're so politicized. There were some on my side who did not want to be seen helping the president do something he wanted to get done, just because the president wanted to do it," Toomey admitted on Tuesday in an interview with Digital First Media editors in the offices of the Times Herald newspaper in Norristown, Pa.
I think that perfectly sums up republicans continued BATTLE against this President. They have no interest in the country, they just want the opposite of whatever the President supports. makes no difference if it's right or not.

Yes. Pat Toomey is correct. He is my senator. I didn't vote for him. He is a good deal more conservative than I, but his pragmatism impresses me. If he keeps it up he has a good chance of getting my vote in spite of our differences.

Im sure a lot of it does have to do with politics, and you can understand why.
We have more people on welfare then ever before.
Our president has tripled the national debt.
We have a healthcare bill that was so poorly written that it only helps the poor, without even looking at the middle class.
Middle class taxes have increased to help the poor.
Our economy is a freaking joke. We have more people unemployed then ever before.
The presidents entire run has been based off helping the poor. The middle class, or those people working to get into the middle class have been dying off, and need to rely on government help. Essentially, he is making them poor.
The top 2% of this country have seen their wealth increase 19% while obama has been in office. The rest of the 98% have had their wealth decrease 25%.
So yeah, I can see why Republicans would be against anything obama supports. Everything he has supported has put us deeper in.

I Thank God every day that there are still some who combat this horrible president. I love when the super politicized Liberals start crying about how partisan the Republicans are. The Democrats who created a fake war on women to discuss a 40 year old debate about abortion, who, along with their buddies at MSNBC called every Republican in the country (about 49% of the population) racists, who used the Newtown Children as props for legislation that would not have prevented the Newtown murders, Who attack every single policy that any Republican has ever put forth, who walked ut of DC instead of voting on Republican policies...and they cry about the President. Then some moron on here will say "It's cuz heeeees A Black man" and think that he is the most intelligent commenter ever on Yahoo...Obama is the worst president in the history of this country, and you idiots voted him in twice. Stay Strong Republicans, block everything that this man tries to do!

The federal government should leave this issue up to the states. Period. We do not have a dictatorship. We have a much different system and should abide by it. This president wants the federal government to control every facet of our lives. NO
