Obama says he withdrew all our troops from Iraq. Is this true? Or are US soldiers still there as a part of ...?
... the UN security force. Seems to me this is a round about way of claiming to end the war and yet not really ending the war. Any one know the actual numbers of US Soldiers still there?
I was reading a yahoo news article when I found out about the UN security forces who evidently had suffered some casualties from one of the worst months since the US withdrawl. So evidently they got it wrong. But thank you all for setting things straight.

When did he say he withdrew ALL our troops? I always hear it as withdrew all our Combat Troops.... We still have Military Personnel there attached to the Embassy for "various duties". - and I'm pretty sure that the Pentagon has a good idea of how many and they might even tell you if you demonstrate "the need to know".

What UN security force is that? There is none in Iraq.
The US does have a small number of non combat military personel in Iraq, seving as advisors and embassy gurards.
Bush negotiated and set up the time table for withdrawl from Iraq before he left office. Obama moved the final withdrawl date up a few months.

The UN does not have a security force in Iraq.
We have fewer than 100 Army Soldiers in Iraq currently (reference the monthly Army Times status of Forces article). Mostly attached to the US Embassy. Not sure about the number of Marines or other military personnel assigned there. But you can bet it is fewer than the Army has.

All US combat troops are out of Iraq, yes.
Who remain are hundreds of nonmilitary personnel, including 1,700 diplomats, law enforcement officers, and economic, agricultural and other experts, according to the State Department. In addition, 5,000 security contractors will protect Americans and another 4,500 contractors will serve in other roles.
Fun fact: There is no UN security force in Iraq.

Depends on what the meaning of the word is is.
Bad joke I know but it really does depend on who you believe. Considering the situation in Syria, we'd be foolish if we didn't.
